interest in horses and has been giving lessons for many
years. She has two grown children and has an academic
background in teaching and social work. |

We offer a
family friendly facility that can tailor instruction to the
individuals goals as a rider. Whether you are a beginner and
looking for basic skills and some practical knowledge of "Horsekeeping"
or looking for some polish for the "Showring", we will try our best
to accommodate your objectives as a rider. The basic outline of our
program is as follows. |
INSTRUCTIONAL
PROGRAM:

Level One - Beginning:
|
The goals for Level One
consist of developing basic horsemanship skills,
establishing control ,safety, an awareness of basic horse
psychology, and providing a positive experience. |
|
Concepts and skills taught
include leading, grooming, saddling, mounting, position in
the saddle, how we communicate with the horse, an
introduction to gaits and some discussion of the mental
aspect of riding. |
|

Level II - Intermediate:
|
The goals for Level II
consist of furthering Level I skills. Concepts and skills
introduced include Collection, Balance, Seat and the basic
mechanics or riding and gait. |
|
|
Level II - Advanced:
|
At this level, instruction is
geared toward successful Showring performance |
|
Concepts and skills discussed
include "Showring Procedure", Riding Aggressively, Focus,
and Basic Sports Psychology |
